InfraFlectä
Radiant Heat Protection Fabric, Sleeve & Firesleeve
Radiant heat is energy that travels through space, air, and some other materials, and then is absorbed by objects; those objects then heat up. A common example of this is when you are standing under a tree on a sunny day - if you step out from the shade into the direct sunlight you feel warmer or even hot: that's a result of your body absorbing the radiant heat from the sun.
Infrared heat radiates from hot metal slabs in metal processing plants, from liquid metals and glass, flames & combustion plumes, infrared heaters and hot engine components such as exhaust manifolds and turbo-chargers. Nearby hoses, pipes, wires & cables are protected and kept cool by fabrications and sleeves of InfraFlectä. Sleeves are available with Velcro closure for easy retrofit.

InfraFlectä fabrics, sleeves and firesleeves are used to protect industrial, commercial, marine and aviation hoses, pipes, cables and wiring from heat and infrared energy. InfraFlectä reflects over 90% of the radiant heat that strikes its surface.
InfraFlectä fabric, sleeve and firesleeve is manufactured from a high temperature aramid base cloth, then coated with highly polished aluminum layers. Rated for continuous exposure of 650°F / 343°C with short exposures to 1000°F / 537°C.
